BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. – A man is in critical condition Wednesday after he and a woman were shot in Boyle Heights.
Police received a 911 call at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday and Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of East First Street where they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Witnesses told police two suspects appeared to approach the couple and after an argument shot at the victims multiple times, police said.
The suspects ran away and the victims were taken to a hospital.
The female victim was said to be in stable condition.
The shooting is under investigation.
