WILLOWBROOK, Calif. – A pedestrian was killed in a collision early Tuesday near the unincorporated area of Willowbrook.
The crash was reported at 1:56 a.m. and officers from the California Highway Patrol were called to East Imperial Highway and Compton Avenue near the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway where they found the pedestrian, according to CHP.
FOX 11 reported that the driver left the scene after hitting the pedestrian, although the CHP did not confirm that to City News Service.
Witnesses at the scene said the victim was struck by one vehicle and then run over by another one.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the CHP is investigating the collision.
