LOS ANGELES – A woman is behind bars Tuesday for an alleged attack on a taco stand worker in the Harvard Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
India Duerson, 30, was arrested at 4 p.m. Tuesday by Los Angeles Police Department officers on suspicion of robbery.
The attack occurred at South Tacos near Normandie and Slauson avenues over the weekend after Duerson allegedly asked for a burrito and then became enraged when the vendor did not prepare it fast enough, according to multiple reports from the scene.
A video obtained by KTLA showed a woman yelling at the vendor, throwing food on the ground, spitting at food items and tipping over juice containers before striking a vendor identified as Bertha Zuniga.
Duerson was being held on $60,000 bail, according to booking records. She was booked at LAPD ‘s 77th Division Station.

There been lot hate attack from black peoples. Black peoples attack the Asian and Hispanic more. This is a hate crime this is not the first time and cops better charger her for hate crime. Enough is enough
Absolutely right on being a hate crime! It is usually white people, and justifiably so (no excuses there), but other groups are just as responsible and should be held accountable in the same way. More than just a hate crime if you listen to her rant.
This article is not accurate. The attacker, India Duerson, had bought a burrito earlier in the day then came back demanding another plate. She said the burrito didn’t taste good. The vendor asked her to bring back the burrito and they’ll make her a new one. India had already eaten that burrito so the vendor told her she’ll have to pay for more food. India got mad, hit the vendor, made herself a food plate then destroyed the stand and spit on the remaining food. That is why she is being charged with robbery.
So the food wasn’t good but she ate it all then demanded free food? Please. A teenager was just killed for throwing water on a fast food worker.
Garnish her wages..cut off her benefits..make this filthy animal suffer!
