LOS ANGELES – A man who was standing with a group of people along a South Los Angeles street was shot and wounded, authorities said Monday.
The shooting occurred at 7:45 p.m. Sunday at 98th Street and Stanford Avenue, according to a dispatcher at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
A vehicle pulled up in front of the group, two males got out and they fired multiple shots at a 38-year-old man, she said. They got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital where he had stable vital signs, the dispatcher said.
