POMONA – One man was killed and another is in the hospital Wednesday after a shooting in Pomona.
Officers from the Pomona Police Department responded to a shots fired call at 11:05 p.m. Tuesday to the area of the 900 block of West Mission Boulevard where they found two men seated in a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, said Sgt. Ian Miller.
Both men were taken to a hospital where one was pronounced dead.
The other victim was in stable condition and is expected to recover from his injuries, police said.
Pomona homicide detectives are investigating the shooting and Miller said police do not believe that it was a random attack.
There was no suspect description.
