COMPTON – One person was killed early Sunday morning in a crash on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Compton.
The crash was reported at 2:50 a.m. on the northbound Long Beach Freeway just north of Alondra Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP’s online log is vague as to the number of vehicles involved. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver and passenger of one vehicle were reportedly taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The CHP issued a SigAlert shutting down northbound No. 2 through 6 lanes just south of Alondra Boulevard, allowing vehicles to use lane No. 1 to get through.
