INGLEWOOD – We have found the three least expensive condos for sale in the city of Inglewood. They are all come with the requisite homeowner association (HOA) fees and if you are looking to enter the short-term rental market, you will need to wait before doing so, unless you meet certain conditions.

With the City recently establishing short-term rental regulations they have made the process a little more stringent with residency requirements and only allowing you to rent on a short-term basis for a maximum of 90 calendar days.

Short-term rental applicants must live in the City for a minimum of ten years, and have owned the prospective rental for at least one year. If the property type is a condo or home it must be in a natural person’s name, not LLC or corporation. Applicants can select to either apply as a hosted unit where they only rent out a single room, or unhosted where the entire property is up for rent.

Be mindful short-term rentals are NOT allowed in properties with more than five units, and if you have an HOA, you must obtain their permission first. The cost to apply as “hosted” is $500 and “unhosted” is $600. Both hosted and unhosted are responsible for paying transient occupancy taxes (TOT) directly to the City which is 15.5% of the per day unit rent only. You do NOT submit tax on housekeeping charges or other fees.
