VAN NUYS- A pedestrian was killed in a collision with a vehicle Friday near Van Nuys.
The collision occurred at around 1:46 a.m. south of Burbank Boulevard on the San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that killed the pedestrian remained at the scene, the CHP said.
The crash closed multiple lanes of the northbound and southbound freeway for several hours.
