LOS ANGELES – A man was shot and killed Tuesday evening near the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.
Officers responded to a shots fired call at approximately 9:20 p.m. at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Marelton Avenue where they found the victim on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Luis Garcia told City News Service.
ABC 7 reported police found a Mercedes-Benz that had crashed into a fence next to the mall’s parking structure and Garcia said the victim apparently tried to drive away after being shot and then fell outside the car.
Officers scoured the scene looking for evidence and witnesses in and around the mall.
Garcia said there was no suspect or vehicle description.
