LOS ANGELES – A man was killed in a drive-by shooting in the Vermont Knolls area of Los Angeles, police said Wednesday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at around 10:11 p.m. Tuesday to West 83rd and Figueroa streets where witnesses said a man was sitting in a vehicle when two cars drove up to him and fired dozens of shots at the man, LAPD Officer Lizeth Lomeli told City News Service.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no vehicle or suspect description.
A passenger in the victim’s vehicle was not injured in the shooting.
Lomeli said the shooting is under investigation.
