CARSON – At least one person was killed Monday morning in a crash between a work truck, a sedan and possibly a pickup on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Carson.
The crash was reported at 4:20 a.m. on the northbound San Diego Freeway at Wilmington Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses reported the work truck and sedan were blocking the HOV lane and that another truck was pulled over at the Wilmington Avenue exit.
A witness told the CHP one person was lying on the ground.
Drywall and debris were strewn hundreds of feet into lanes, the CHP said.
A SigAlert was issued at 5:18 a.m. for the HOV lane and lanes 1, 2 and 3.
