INGLEWOOD – The city of Inglewood is expected to set a Public Hearing for June 28, 2022, to establish a long awaited Short-Term Rental ordinance.
The ordinance will establish regulations and a fee schedule to conduct short-term rentals in city limits.
The council will convene Tuesday, June 14 for a regular city council meeting, with the agenda item expected to pass unanimously.
The City was forced to act and implement a moratorium on newly established short-term rentals after a mass shooting rocked Inglewood in the weeks before Super Bowl LVI. A birthday party was held at an unregulated short-term rental that ended with five shot, and four dead. The moratorium also mandated that current operators transfer transient occupancy taxes (TOT) to the City retroactive to January 1, 2022.
The public hearing will be set for June 28, 2022, at 2pm. Mark your calendars.
