INGLEWOOD – The Inglewood Housing Protection Department has released its long awaited short-term rental ordinance which will be presented to the city council for approval during the June 28 regular city council meeting. The ordinance establishes fees and enforcement guidelines to address the growing number of short-term rentals in city limits.
The proposal creates a tiered fee structure based on the unit description and whether the unit will be hosted or unhosted.
The staff report notes the fees are reduced for the first year and are expected to increase to allow the department to collect additional data for a more comprehensive cost allocation study.
