PALMDALE – A woman was shot and killed Tuesday in Palmdale in what investigators said appeared to be a domestic-related incident.
Deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded at 3:34 p.m. to the 36800 block of James Place, near Joshua Hills Park, regarding a shots fired call and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper torso, said Deputy Brenda Serna of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Homicide investigators learned during their investigation an argument occurred prior to the shooting, Serna said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
