LOS ANGELES – The man accused of killing Nipsey Hussle, is due back in a Los Angeles courtroom this week.
Eric Holder is charged with the March 31, 2020 murder of Ermias Asghedom, while he stood outside of his Marathon Clothing Store.
In addition to murder charges, he also faces two counts stemming from injuries sustained by others in the parking lot.
Holder was initially represented by Chris Darden, a former prosecutor in the District Attorney’s office, who became a household name when he was a member of the team trying O.J. Simpson.
Members of the community continue to speculate as to how Darden came to represent him. He has since stepped away from representing him.
Holder is being prosecuted by John McKinney who is making his rounds speaking out in support of the recall of DA George Gascon.
Since Nipsey’s murder, his property and adjacent alley has been closed to the public.
