LOS ANGELES – A man was found fatally shot Thursday in downtown Los Angeles.
Officers responded around 3 a.m. to Figueroa Street and Washington Boulevard on reports of a man down in the street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Melissa Podany said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and police were investigating the death as a homicide, although no suspect information was immediately available.
Broadcast reports from the scene indicated that police found an AK-47 rifle next to the man’s body.
