INGLEWOOD – Inglewood residents have shared an unsolicited email they’ve received from the campaign of Lawndale Mayor Robert Pullen-Miles attacking his opponent TIna McKinnor.
In the email he says:
You deserve better. As the only Democrat endorsed by the California Democratic Party, I would bring over 24 years of Legislative experience having worked for four Democratic Members of the California Legislature. The people of this district deserve honesty and integrity from their future Assemblymember.
Robert Pullen-Miles
It is believed his campaign could be in violation of government codes prohibiting the use of taxpayer resources for political purposes. The 7th floor of CIty Hall was recently renovated with Capital Improvement funds.
Robert is endorsed by the entire Inglewood City Council, and City Clerk Aisha Thompson.
Inglewood City Councilman Alex Padilla sends emails to constituents, via his newsletter, which indicate Pullen-Miles’ campaign headquarters is across from City Hall at 311 N. LaBrea, however, his mail is being directed to City Hall.
Why?

It is one of those birds of a feather things — disrespect for community should never be something that is acceptable on any level….
Let’s think about this, rather than seek solutions to homelessness he chose to threaten a small business for housing homeless as a Lawndale elected.
Since he thinks highly of the City Council that refuses to listen to the will the people, make meetings accessible to the working class, wants the residents to pay for the billionaire benefiting monorail, and wants the endorsement of the can’t tell a truth zipper-control-challenged Mayor he has told us where his values are – NOT COMMUNITY.
Do we need to point out 1 W Manchester is Inglewood City Hall and NO public office should be used for campaign purposes no not even as a mail drop !!!!
You would think with 24 years of “public service experience” at least at election time he would pretend to have his moral compass adjusted toward doing the right thing and caring about community!
Unfortunately this is the election our choices are dismal.
McKinnor Doesn’t seem to understand Prop 13 should be saved …Apparently spending willing nilly is more important than senior efforts to pass on homes to children who won’t have to sell them just to pay property tax for legislative foolish spending.
Check those transparent California salaries if you think it is only a few of your dollars we are talking about…… why does anyone who is a public servant get compensation of more than a million a year…..? And given the health issues of late that couches make more than doctors ? Really? what are our value systems saying? Are touchdowns more important than saving lives ?
If either of these candidates cared about us they would enact punishment for elected that disregard the people they are supposed to serve aka the Butts team, and all the other city indicted. ( But again this is a close knit club of musical chairs isn’t it?
By the way ~ with the Assembly member Burke resignation all her staff lost their jobs -some making nearly $100,000.00 per year, that may be a cost savings but we have NO assembly representation.
Those who voted for BURKE because of name recognition should think about what that has cost us. WE HAVE NO ONE TO SPEAK OUT TO SAVE OUR SCHOOLS……EXCEPT OUSELVES ! Burke should be remembered as the anti-education representative.
