WATTS – The Eastside Riders Bike Club announced the launch of their new app May 29 during Memorial Day weekend.
Founder John Jones III is committed to providing opportunities to connect the community through their bike club, and believes their new app is just what they needed.
“I want to share with you that East Side Riders app is available today in the App Store and soon it will be ready on google play,” said Jones.
He partnered with a Black-Owned developer who produced an app that will engage the user with its multi-function use connecting them to the website, swag, rewards, and the ability to track their bike rides.
“This app is built for the community and is a minority owned app, built by a minority owned company ES Solutions,” said Jones. “This app is fun and exciting for the community brought to you by East Side Riders Bike Club, never been done before at this level.”
During the height of the COVID pandemic the club fed the community breakfast and lunch thanks to the generosity of donors, and the club also expanded into the city of Compton.
“We’re looking to help the city of Compton with recreation, help build the city legacy and partner with all things Compton,” said Jones. “We’re looking to educate the Compton residents on transportation and pedestrian needs. We hope to bring the same energy from Watts to Compton.”
