LOS ANGELES – A man was shot to death in a drive-by shooting in South Los Angeles, police said Friday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at approximately 7:15 p.m. Thursday to the 1100 block of South Main Street where they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds, said LAPD Officer Annie Hernandez.
Witnesses told police the victim was walking along Main when a vehicle drove up to him and fired several shots at the victim before driving away in an unknown direction.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Hernandez said.
It was unknown if the shooter and the victim knew each other.
