LOS ANGELES – Two men were left dead today in separate shootings across South LA.
The recent uptick in shootings in South LA have been heavily concentrated in the area represented by Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson, whose office is eerily quiet on the nearly daily shootings happening, many of which occur in broad daylight.
Around 2:30 pm, an elderly man was shot and killed near the intersection of Hoover Street and Imperial Highway, according to Los Angeles police.
The man died at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A motive for the shooting was unknown, and no suspect description was immediately available.
The second shooting occurred around 6pm, near West 84th Street and South Grand Avenue, according to Los Angeles police.
The man also died at the scene, with his name being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
There are no known motives for either shooting and no suspect information available either.
