INGLEWOOD – It is being reported the $5 billion SoFi Stadium does not meet FIFA requirements to host World Cup in 2026. As a direct result, Stan Kroenke could be forced to reconfigure the stadium.

From the DailyMail:
Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke is facing embarrassment, with his LA Rams NFL franchise forced to redevelop their stadium 18 months after its opening to ensure it can stage 2026 World Cup matches.
The 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium is the most expensive in the world, with construction costs of £3.8billion, and hosted the Super Bowl last month.
But in a remarkable oversight, it does not meet FIFA‘s requirements to stage World Cup matches.
In most respects the SoFi Stadium is a potential final venue for the 2026 tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, other than for the crucial fact that the pitch is too narrow for football.

Everyone involved in this project should be embarrassed by their lies.
If it was presented to not be a traffic problem because there would only be a few NFL games for the Rams….
why do the Chargers call this their home field?
If it was only a few NFL games why are the olympics planned to be here?
Since Stanley owned (till it was passed to his son) the Arsenal Soccer team, how is it he didn’t know the regulation field size either before building or before applying to host the World Cup?
If he knew there was expectations of fans actually attending games why didn’t the WONDER MAYOR or the gosh she doesn’t have time for resident input PLANNING DIRECTOR Mindy Wilcox insist that adequate parking be ON-SITE rather than scattered throughout our neighborhoods?
EVERYONE should be embarrassed by this thoughtless and inconsiderate project – built as a temple to themselves and an insult to the communities impacted.
