INGLEWOOD – Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts alerted the community to two shootings that left two men dead in a 24-hour span.
The first shooting occurred April 8 at approx 4:35 pm, when IPD officers responded to a shooting victim at 10711 10th Ave. The victim is described only as a Black male.
The second occurred at approx. 2am, April 9, with officers responding to another shooting victim, also a Black male.
Paramedics tried to revive the man but he died at the scene, police said. The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A motive for the attack was unknown, and no suspect description was available.
