Inglewood residents reported a dead body found in Centinela Park early this morning. This is the seventh homicide in Inglewood this year.

The victim has been identified as Paul Williamson Jr., 34, from San Bernardino.
Several calls were placed to the Inglewood Police Department Watch Commander which went unanswered. The calls eventually rolled over to dispatch who stated Lt. Aguilar was WC for the day and to try back later.

I’m Paul’s MOTHER No my son wasn’t a cruiser it wasn’t about sex at all.
This mess,, is to the so called community like you give a dam about my son got murdered your community is cowards cause I know someone seen my son’s murder but no one no nothing ya right. but let’ it be one of ur sons or daughter get killed I bet u see something then.you have no clue what community means .Agonizing pain you all have no clue what I feel since your so called community seen but too scared too help a stranger ur not righteous community Id hate to be all shoes when God calls you home for judgement.
Ms. Beck we are sorry for the loss of your son. I don’t believe the city has installed cameras in this park like they have at Darby Park. Perhaps, with your permission, we can advocate that the city installs them to ensure there is some sense of opportunity to address crimes like these in the future. Unfortunately, Centinela Park has a reputation of being a place where men “hook up”. I apologize if other commenters have incorrectly insinuated that about your son. I too am a mother and would also want justice served.
From what I heard in the streets , the man was a park cruiser. I guess he turned down another cruiser sexual advances towards him and was murdered.

FYI my brother was not a cruiser he was there flying his drone like we always do. Don’t slander his name especially if you wasn’t there. FYI I was there flying with my brother.
