LOS ANGELES – A teenage boy died in a fiery single-car crash on the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway, authorities said Saturday.
The driver pulled from the burning vehicle was identified as 16-year- old Tristen King, according to the coroner’s office. The cause of death was multiple blunt force traumatic injuries.
Officers responded at 3:58 a.m. Friday to the Melrose Avenue off-ramp, where a speeding white SUV crashed and caught fire, said California Highway Patrol Officer Edgar Figueroa.
King was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Figueroa said..
