WATTS – A man found shot to death inside a vehicle in the Watts area of South Los Angeles was a Hawthorne resident.
He was identified as 49-year-old Johnnie Thomas, according to the coroner’s office.
The shooting was reported at 10:45 p.m. Friday at 11423 Alvaro St., near the Nickerson Gardens Skate Park, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Lizeth Lomeli.
Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene, Lomeli said.
No suspect information was available, she said.
