Dear Mayor Butts and LA Clippers:
I’d like to ask how the City of Inglewood and Clippers will provide sufficient parking/traffic management for the Intuit Dome?
When the Intuit Dome is complete in two years, this facility requires an additional 8,000 parking spots.
Inglewood community members have many questions:
- Will the CAPSS LLC guarantee enough vehicle parking for Clippers basketball and events at the Intuit Dome?- How many parking spaces will be available at the Forum for events at the Intuit Dome?
- Will the Clippers provide free shuttle transportation between the Forum and Intuit Dome?
- Will the City of Inglewood make thousands of empty parking at SoFi stadium (KSE) available for Clippers games and events? Lots A-Q will be completely empty and within walking distance to the Intuit Dome.
- Does the City require a shared use agreement for parking between SoFi Stadium/ KSE and the Forum for parking for events at the Forum and vice versa? If not, why was this not a condition on approval for building So Fi Stadium?
- Will there be dedicated bus lanes between the Forum and Intuit Dome during games and events to ensure proper traffic flow and minimize disruption to residents and business owners?
- How did the City of Inglewood only allow 3,760 parking spots (3110 garage + 650 adjacent to arena) constructed for the Intuit Dome?
- How can the City of Inglewood ensure Intuit Dome will not disrupt residents and business owners like the City failed with SoFi stadium by not ensuring enough parking / traffic management?
At an average of 1.5 people per vehicle, there is a deficit of 8,240 parking spots at maximum capacity (18,000 people) for 45 basketball games per year, plus dozens of concerts and events. Additionally, I would like to request (within 30 days) public records from the City of Inglewood and LA Clippers:
- Parking Environmental Impact Report and all studies regarding parking for the Intuit Dome.
- Plans for traffic flow on W Century Blvd and S Prairie for events at Intuit Dome.
Thank you,
Concerned resident

Vote these losers out!
Limiting parking is a good thing when stadiums are built next to public transit, because people quickly learn that it’s easier just not to drive at all. But typical of LA they don’t build these things next to any real transit stops. Hopefully that people mover gets used once it’s built.
Clearly Daniel would also like us to believe those fans which will be “trained” to use Transit will also learn not to litter our streets, to be respectful and kind to residents, not walk against red lights, oh yes they will also learn to spend millions at our local non-chain retail stores, and yes once we loose even more of our Market Street and Manchester, and Prairie businesses and have the monorail Zipping over our heads and the trains constantly running in our midst we will be pleased to share with our chIldren that not long ago in the days before the Football Owner seeming bought our City Mayor and Council members with the promise of photo ops there were trees that provided oxygen, shade, air filtration and ambiance, shops owned by neighbors, and easy access to the streets our taxes paid for but thanks to the irresponsible lies of the council members the once gracious community where residents and education mattered has become the central cash register for two Billionaires and those millionaire high rise condo builders who put their pay to play dollars into the election campaign fund coffers.
The mayor claimed there would be no eminent domain for these projects…
….anyone placing bets whether that is just another one of his lies?
How many will loose their homes for parking lots?
Such great questions that each of the council members and the mayor should have asked themselves!
Without the problems being solved the projects should never have approved….
This disregard for the residents of the city should tell us all there should be NO ONE RE-ELECTED!
