LOS ANGELES – Fire Sunday damaged a single-story home in South Los Angeles.
The 28 firefighters dispatched at 6:29 a.m. to the 10900 block of South McKinley Avenue had the blaze out within 17 minutes of their arrival, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“The fire was prevented from extending to the adjacent structures,” Stewart said. “Firefighters are continuing to conduct a thorough search of the property, which was not possible prior to knockdown.”
No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
