ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday when he went down a cliff while on the Angeles Forest Highway, authorities said.
The crash at Mile Marker 23.16 occurred a little before 10:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.

Firefighters were sent to the location at 10:33 a.m., according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher. They were awaiting approval from the coroner’s office to extract the body, according to the CHP’s traffic incident information page.
“It’s a steep embankment and air unit in the area available, and will expedite the process,” according to the log, “If not it will be a lengthy process with search and rescue.”
