WEST COVINA, Calif. – A La Mirada man was in custody Tuesday for alleged possession of child pornography, and detectives urged other possible victims to contact authorities.
Andrew Williams, 33, was arrested last Wednesday and booked on suspicion of possession of child sexual abuse materials and child pornography, according to the West Covina Police Department.
Police said a felony filing was obtained on both charges from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Friday. Williams was being held without bail, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
“Due to Williams’ prior place of employment, a church, detectives believe there may be potential physical victims,” police said in a statement.
“The suspect is also known to have previously resided in the city of Costa Mesa,” police said. “The suspect was most recently employed in the city of San Dimas.”
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call detectives at 626-939-8735.
