INGLEWOOD – Despite a recession and rising interest rates, single family homes in the city of Inglewood continue to hit the market in excess of $1.3 million despite a severely damaged school district.
The Inglewood Unified School District continues to be one of the most disappointing topics of discussion Inglewood as the district continues to sit on millions in bond proceeds from Measure GG, millions received in development fees, and no clear plan on how the district leaders will reverse the declining enrollment trend.
Ironically, two of the most expensive homes are located in zip code 90305 where residents pay an exorbitant amount of property taxes and the school district deciding to close the last taxpayer funded school in said zip code.
Despite the dismal performance of our schools, it remains a sellers market in Inglewood with families being left without a school within walking distance of these homes.
