INGLEWOOD – Inglewood Planning Commissioner Larry Springs presented himself to the City Council to ask for police assistance in towing his neighbors cars.
Springs and another resident who live on 5th Ave close to Arbor Vitae, appeared at the council meeting to complain about a “party house” at 9512 5th Ave.
Mayor James T. Butts said he had a long talk with the police chief who will beef up enforcement in the residential neighborhood.
“Your council member and I take this very seriously and the offenders will be towed,” said Butts.
“I am very satisfied with the way the mayor handled it,” said George Dotson, who regularly appears to be in a fog during the council meeting.
The owner is a single woman who has lived there for decades. Residents share her home is known for always looking out for the neighborhood children, especially Halloween.
“They had a mother’s day party, and cleaned up all the trash,” said a neighbor who didn’t want to be named to avoid retaliation from Springs, IPD, or the mayor. “Springs needs to stop throwing his commissioner title and connections to the mayor in our face!”

This is the same Planning Commissioner who couldn’t be bothered to listen to resident complaints about the rezoning for high rise buildings at Crenshaw Imperial or the area near the San Diego Frwy.
Hmm why are his concerns more important than those of others?
Is this the result of no restrictions on Air B&B short term rentals while long term tenants must be registered with the city?
