Would it be far fetched to believe that Inglewood Mayor James Butts and the Council final act of service was the passage of the largely unfunded Inglewood Transit Connector?
To be quite honest I don’t know how to answer this question but it would be foolish for anyone that truly knows politics not to think that Inglewood Mayor’s James Butts impending deposition in his ongoing lawsuit filed by his former executive assistant Melanie McDade in her ongoing lawsuit for sexual harassment and retaliation doesn’t carry the potential to change the political trajectory for the City of Inglewood and beyond.
2UrbanGirls I must admit I’m an optimistic/ pessimist by nature and I proudly brandish this title with a sense of sarcastic pride but I’ve seen this movie play out before , the script plays out like HBO’s ” The Wire ” or Shonda Rhimes ” Scandal where’s man inability to control his carnal nature whether it be driven by the fulfilling of his fleshly desires or pursuit of greed ultimately brings an end or and untimely demise to his and her kingdom and based upon history Inglewood residents and stakeholders shouldn’t expect anything less when it comes to Mayor James Butts .
In closing I don’t know how this will play out but I can’t help to think that the Mayor and Council expedited process in approving the largely unfunded 1.4 billion dollar Inglewood Transit Connector would be the Mayor’s and Council last official significant act before they are led to political ” purgatory” kicking and screaming by resignation and or criminal indictment because by suggestions made by Melanie McDade and her legal counsel suggests that the same just cause in where the City of Inglewood justifies Ms. McDade termination by engaging in fraudulent or questionable activities was a largely accepted practice, and/or practice encouraged, inside the walls of Inglewood City Hall, and with full knowledge of the Mayor.
Why don’t Inglewood residents find this problematic?
