INGLEWOOD – LAX Airport Police Chief Cecil Rhambo consolidated support from the entire elected leadership in the City of Inglewood.
“I’m incredibly honored to have the trust, confidence and support of Mayor Butts as well as Councilmembers Faulk, Morales, Dotson, and Padilla. Having endorsements from the entire City of Inglewood’s elected leadership means a great deal to me. It also demonstrates that our campaign to bring about positive, lasting change, and reform to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is resonating. I look forward to working with these leaders in the weeks and months ahead.”
Rhambo’s campaign platform is simply doing and saying the opposite of whatever Sheriff Alex Villanueva says.
Rhambo’s campaign was asked if he was made aware of deputy gangs within the department when he served as Assistant Sheriff, and if so, what steps did he take to address it.
He declined to answer.
On his campaign page, Rhambo states he would create a hotline to report the alleged deputy gangs and provide more training to the deputies.
When asked whether those things already exist in the department, he again declined to answer.
