COMPTON – Compton closed out its last city council meeting for 2021 with a moment so low-key, you had to know about it to know what was going on.
The Dec. 28 meeting started without Councilwoman Michelle Chambers appearing on the dais. During the meeting she comes in with documents under her arm and a manila envelope in her hand.
She drops the envelope in front of Galvan.
Residents shared their thoughts.
“Someone said they heard ‘you are served'”, said Robert Ray, who attends the weekly meetings.
“It just hits different when your chickens come to roost,” wrote Nina Childs on social media. “Keep your foot on his neck Andre Spicer.”
Spicer ran against Galvan in the hotly contested election earlier this year which saw Galvan win by one vote.
According to Spicer, Galvan was served by Chambers on his behalf.
“I’m suing him in civil court for cheating and stealing the election,” wrote Spicer on social media.
Chambers actively campaigned on Spicer’s behalf, and is believed to be a witness for Spicer in his quest to be on the city council.
The District Attorney’s office is in the middle of prosecuting Galvan for election fraud, but has reached out to members of the community to ascertain their concerns with Spicer’s campaign.
Spicer has never been charged with any wrongdoing in this year’s election.
“Why would the city clerk certify the election when it was too close to call?” asked a member of the DA’s office who requested anonymity.
Residents are currently in the process of attempting another recall on Chambers, with the help of Galvan.
Galvan could not be reached for comment.

Michelle Chambers, Had no right to do this during a council meeting in front of all the residence. She is only on the council to bring Compton down. She never was from Compton but with the help of the cheating City Clerk, she was put on the ballot knowing she didn’t live here in Compton. But the X Mayor wanted her here to help with what she was doing to bring Compton down and misuse of the city funds and bring more Marijuana to the city. Michelle Chambers is also upset because the people are doing a recall on her and all the trouble she is starting and had started even before she was in office.
Oh, and by the way lest you forget, Michelle Chambers was from Inglewood and not Compton when she ran and won so every single vote she got was illegal. The nerve. A pot calling the kettle black. Michelle Chambers is being petty and out of pocket once again though a sitting city council member. Her action is a conflict of interest. Serving papers for Spicer, Hub City Dre, on her fellow council member like no other person could have done it for Spicer. Doing it during a council meeting in front on the dais looking for hype and visibility but also looking trifling herself. As usual when you lead by hype and not facts, cameras and media blitz were waiting. Spicer filing an lawsuit I’m told alleging illegal votes, but will eat the words when a counter suit gets him for election fraud himself. Much Ado About Nothing media hype Straight Outta Compton.
The election was not too close to call when it clearly states you may win by even one vote in the final. One vote gives you the majority and an election count confirmed Galvan’s one vote lead. I wrote and pointed that fact out before the final vote in June was even tallied. Had Spicer won by one vote, the very same undisclosed DA would not have said a thing I bet. An investigator stated his review shows Spicer didn’t even make the primary given the uncharacteristic nature of Spicer’s votes. The investigator alleges Jace Dawson instead of Spicer along with Councilman Galvan won the primary. But whether charged or not, the community knows Spicer offered cash and prizes for votes which means he is guilty of election fraud himself. Only internal politics, favoritism and selective prosecution has kept Spicer from catching a charge and out of jail. How many illegal votes s did Spicer collect at his rally. A lot more than one or two since he took down the picture of his bed covered in ballots he’d collected. See how that works. Both sides have a story to tell so just get out your popcorn but don’t be a sucker to hype.
“The investigator alleges Jace Dawson instead of Spicer along with Councilman Galvan won the primary.” Please explain more how Jace Dawson won the primary if when he came in last place? Not saying you are wrong I’m just curious of the logic.
Ask the investigator who made the point but his statement was obviously a reference to the three candidates involved in this case excluding Hamade and Fisher, the other two candidates polled higher.
