INGLEWOOD (CNS) — A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was hurt when a vehicle struck him on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Inglewood on Sunday.
The crash happened on the southbound 405 just south of Manchester Boulevard shortly before 7 p.m., according to CHP Officer Stephan Brandt.
The officer suffered moderate to minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment, Brandt said.
The involved vehicle or vehicles remained at the scene and were cooperating with investigators, he said.
A SigAlert was called by the CHP at 7:03 p.m. and the numbers 3, 4 and 5 lanes were shut down for an investigation. The SigAlert was later canceled and all lanes reopened.
