Dear 2urbangirls,
They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
Well the picture I’m attaching in this case may not inspire a thousand words, but it could explain why newly elected Inglewood City Clerk Aisha Thompson received a $1,000 raise on top of her over $1000,000 salary, although she has been on the job less than a year.
What’s the significance of this picture you might ask?
Well upon inspection the average ,discerning person would, and should reasonably come to the conclusion that the City Clerk is performing her perfunctory role as the elected City Clerk as her constituents elected her to do. But, upon further inspection, by her own to desire to “glamorize” the office of the City Clerk, she may have implicated her self in a multi-million dollar heist
Don’t believe me ?
Look at the picture.
If you notice the picture in question taken from the City Clerk’s FB page, and the caption indicates that the City Clerk was attending an event at Sofi stadium June 26th, 2021 for the election in November?
What election in November?
Well we do have an election now, but at that time, how did the City Clerk have advance knowledge of an election that hadn’t been declared yet? Comments are on the clerk’s FB page also asked what election in November, and she ignored them.
Simple answer is the City Council, and the City Clerk are in collusion with developer’s and “community” partners, who devised a scheme to have taxpayer’s pay for the Automated People Mover under the rouse of a fiscal emergency, although the Mayor and Council declared the city “fiscally solvent” a month earlier .
Maybe it’s me , and I could be wrong, but the memo from Jim Rabe of CRE , written in July of this year, is consistent with a coordinated effort to bulldoze Measure H and Measure I down Inglewood voter’s throat .
In that same meno , it specifically cites raising the transfer property tax and the hotel occupancy tax as a way to pay for the Automated People Mover.
Like I said a picture is worth a thousand words, and clearly in the City’s Clerk”s case, an extra $1,000 a month to manipulate the will of Inglewood Voter’s, and to serve the will of the developer’s and elected officials who have donated thousands of dollars to her campaign to elect her. Is it any coincidence she has an outstanding campaign loan from Eloy Morales, who also gave her in-kind donations of a billboard across LaBrea? It’s in the same vein that Councilman George Dotson owes over $100,000 in campaign loans to Mayor Butts.
Well I guess that’s a small price to pay if you’re the City Clerk , if in her words you can go from “eating beans and rice to Mastros” steakhouse, if you’re willing to subvert the will of the people.

Oh the tangled web they weave…when the residents they try to deceive
The sticky web is designed to entrap all whose vision is so distracted they do not see its danger
June 24 City Clerk Thompson posted her invite to the Summer Bash including the Register to vote for the November Election comment.
At that time there was no November election scheduled for Inglewood ! !
There were no county, state, or federal measures, no county, state, or federal public offices vacancies . The Inglewood website indicates that City Council members, Mayor, Clerk, Treasurer , School Board members are elected in even numbered years – – 2021 is not an even number.
August 3 Inglewood City Council members voted to create the Transit Occupancy Tax and The Property Transfer Tax increase measures which would then require a November Election. The staff report indicates the revenue may be used to fund the People Mover -overhead rail service -transporting game event attendees from the Florence Transit Center to the Stadium and Arena.
August 24 the Inglewood City Council voted to increase Thompson’s salary from $ 8,694.00 per month ($ 104,328.00/year) to $ 9,604.00 per month ($ 115,248.00 per year ).
**Benefits are approximately $40,000.00 more.
The devil is indeed in the details…And some might say this sticky web of falsehoods is designed to trap
Inglewood residents into allowing Billionaires to profit at resident expense.
The Council members have acted in complete disregard for the impacts they made affecting the community by their irresponsible devotion to give the Billionaires permits not requiring sufficient parking and insisting our homes and small businesses have no value in future they Envision.
Benefit for a few Billionaires at the expense of the residents IS NOT PROGRESS it is abusive oppression.
