Good morning! Living in Inglewood, near SoFi Stadium, has been interesting since this project began.
It has to start with the explosion of the Hollywood Park Racetrack (no notification, everyone ran outside around 6am in their pj’s wondering why our homes were shaking). I live in the gated community, Renaissance.
We had several residents get sick from the amount of dirt coming onto our patios and homes. There was literally mountains of dirt that sat for over a year in the back part of our community. The HOA tried very hard to have them put up a wall, like you see when driving down Pincay, but they refused.
Initially we had a program called the “Good Neighbor” where we were issued $50 Home Depot gift cards to purchase filters for our A/C units, free car washes and power washing for our homes. Butts attended one HOA meeting inside the community promising he would never close down Pincay again and turn it into a Parking Lot for any Forum event….of course that was a lie. The street has regularly been used as an overflow parking lot.
I was actually denied access to my street from the city parking enforcement when coming home from work. I showed our not so special permit and the officer said “You’re too late” my response “how the f**k is it ever too late for me to come home”?
I could go on and on, but yes the city is worst off with Butts as our mayor.
