Political consultant Dallas Fowler has thrown her hat back into the political ring. Previously running unsuccessfully for the Los Angeles Community College District, she has now set her sights on representing residents in the 54th Assembly District in a special election to replace Sydney Kamlager-Dove who is moving on to the state senate. Fowler sent out a press release detailing early endorsements, many of which are troubling. As a progressive, and champion of women, it is odd that some of her supporters are perceived to feel the opposite.
Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. would like to believe his name still carries political weight as he endorses Fowler’s candidacy, while attempting to clear his name of sexual harassment allegations made against him by his former aide Melanie McDade, who claims complaints to city officials went ignored.
Fowler should be familiar with McDade as Butts is a regular visitor to Fowler’s “Auntie GG’s house” who has also stepped in to support Dallas.
Gloria “Auntie GG” Gray, sits on the powerful Metropolitan Water District board, and are embroiled in claims that multiple women face discrimination in the agency, that fell on deaf ears. After sharing their harrowing tales to the Los Angeles Times, Gray promised a thorough investigation. Gray has been silent on issues surrounding the Inglewood mayor as he is a regular donor to her political campaign coffers. Butts has also paid Fowler on Gray’s behalf.

Fowler is undaunted by the claims levied against the organizations led by Butts and Gray and is relying on her political work to sway voters. Questions surrounding the validity of her business were detailed by the Los Cerritos News when Fowler sent questionable invoices to the General Manager of the Central Basin (CB) water district, for payments without either a signed contract or board approval.

Fowler described her work on the failed state takeover of CB as a “labor of love” costing $21,000. CB officials, VP Art Chacon, and Directors Phil Hawkins and Bob Apodaca, have never heard of nor met Fowler. The article discusses how her consulting firm, Daltek Global, is currently suspended by the Franchise Tax Board.
The only legitimate candidates running to represent the district are Heather Hutt and Isaac Bryan.

Dallas has no experience representing anyone. She’s never been to a PTA meeting, and now she wants to represent thousands of people!!! Wake up!
