Inglewood Unified School District Advisory Board member D’artagnan Scorza has announced his resignation.  His resignation is due to his relocating for a professional endeavor. His final act was helping push a $240 million school bond to continue work on the district’s school that began in the 90s. Inglewood school board members have pushed over $500 million in school bonds (Measures K and GG) while enrollment has continued to plummet.
Personally, Scorza has put a lot of effort into empowering the community to stand up for affordable housing and has a flagship non-profit, Social Justice Learning Institute, who has brought attention to healthy food options through promotions of fruit tree giveaways and community gardens.
There are now two vacancies to fill on the board with the election of Dionne Faulk to city council. Scorza was re-elected to the board last month.
