Fatima Iqbal-Zubair is proud to announce her endorsement by Senator Bernie Sanders. Fatima is a teacher, immigrant, and progressive running for California State Assembly in Assembly District 64. She is running against incumbent Mike Gipson, the current Assembly Caucus Chair.

Fatima is running a grassroots campaign focused on reducing income and wealth inequality in California by creating policies that value people over profits. She is championing environmental justice, housing and healthcare as human rights, divesting from prisons and policing and investing in communities, and ensuring high quality and affordable education for all from pre-K through college. She has been endorsed by other groups like DSA, Our Revolution, Sunrise Movement LA, and dozens of other local groups.
