INGLEWOOD – Inglewood City Council held a last minute, special city council meeting October 22 to allocate taxpayer funds towards the Clippers project. This is in stark contrast to developer Chris Meaney stating no public money would be used on the project.
The funds will be used to expand legal services and hire consultants to address certain right of way and relocation services related to real property for the proposed Clippers arena.
Despite the city being $9.8 million short in revenue this fiscal year, the city has allocated $1.2 million for a combination of companies: Meyers Nave Riback Silver & Wilson for an additional $650,900 out of the GENERAL FUND for legal fees which provides authorization to contractually engage Interwest Consulting Group Inc., and Del Richardson & Associates, for services.
Richardson is the current wife of former Inglewood Councilman Curren Price, specializes in relocating residents due to eminent domain proceedings and led the relocation of an entire neighborhood, in the 90s, for the expansion of the LAX airport at the intersection of Arbor Vitae and La Cienega.

2UrbanGirls is most concerned by the actions of City Manager Artie Fields. Fields’ is compensated nearly $500,000 in salary and benefits by Inglewood taxpayers, and most of the staff reports requiring his signature appears to come from someone within his office.
If these documents were legal Fields shouldn’t have any qualms or reservations about signing them. If he is refusing to do his job, and continues to pawn these duties onto someone else, the person signing should seek immediate legal advice.

We all know Joe Isuzu had a tough time with true because that was the car advertisement script written to make us laugh. But when Butts LIES as often as Joe did ie that the millionaires are using their own money and then we see evidence that we pay the bills it is NOT FUNNY.
Apparently the hard working people of our community are supposed to believe without question whatever overseer Jimmy tells us on behalf of Misters Stan and Steve.
Perhaps there is a rebranding in the future for Inglewood, perhaps “The Double S Arch” over newly planted palms leading to the Billionaire Play Palaces.
