Good evening, I’m an Inglewood resident and I just want to thank you for your informative article on Mayor Butts and the misleading filing of the City Clerk seat.
I have several close friends throughout city hall that have expressed their concerns to me about Mayor Butts. The common complaint is his many female conquests and how he places them in positions they are not qualified for. He’s now allegedly sleeping with his newest assistant, who works on transportation projects, as well as the woman in Finance that you guys mentioned a while ago.
Lastly he is linked with a woman he placed in the section-8 Dept. Im told the city council is aware of Butts behavior and does nothing. Meanwhile the moral in city hall has been deflated. It appears employees are afraid to speak up fearing the wrath of Butts. It’s well known that he has the decision makers under his thumb.
Recently, a disgruntled elected city official said they have knowledge that Deputy City Clerk Thompson’s running for City Clerk, is the first step to setting things in motion for her bosses’ husband, Jerome Horton to run for mayor in 2yrs. I was also told Thompson should not be allowed to work in the city clerk’s office while being a candidate on the upcoming ballot. A city council member would have to give up their seat to run for Mayor. What’s the difference?
I will continue to bring information to you. Inglewood residents deserve transparency.
