Dear 2UrbanGirls,
Compton elected officials are clearly using the issues with the Sheriff’s department to drive people to the ballot box this November under false pretenses. Their proposed “advisory” measure regarding inclusion of Compton Community Policing standards is dead on arrival. As Sheriff Alex Villanueva explained to the council on June 29, 2020, the Sheriff’s department doesn’t write the law enforcement contract for the cities they serve, that’s under the purview of Los Angeles County. If this council truly wanted “change” why haven’t they appeared before the Sheriff’s Oversight Commission?
Are Compton residents not paying attention to the fact that Mayor Aja Brown is using $400,000, of taxpayer dollars, to pay for a special election to gain an additional year on her term and this so-called Sheriff’s contract amendment is the driving force to do so?
Wake up Compton

400000 thousand? This shit wasnt on the budget. Where the money coming from?!
If Compton voters were smart they would vote the mayor, city council members, city clerk and treasurer out of office.
I’m talking completely clean house.
Aja Brown publicly endorsed Mr. Stop and Frisk, Michael Bloomberg when he was running for president.
The Stop and Frisk policy was one of Bloomberg’s signature policies and it hurt hundreds of thousands of innocent black and Latino residents in New York City, yet Aja was willing to support Bloomberg’s bid for president.
That should tell voters everything they need to know.
EXACTLY.
Do not vote to give Aja Brown one more MINUTE in office. Let’s vote to remove ALL their asses out of office. They’re all complete failures and we deserve much better and can do better.
