Flat Tummy Tea (FTT) has made millions from women eager to lose weight “fast”. The gimmick involves using Instagram “influencers” who pretend to use their products.
FTT began by using highly visible “influencers”, like the Kardashian sisters, who already boast a flat tummy, to take pictures with their products. The product range includes teas, shakes and lollipops.
What you never see is the women actually using their products. That’s the problem.
FTT is now demanding influencers actually use their products to maintain their revenue. Women have most likely woken up to realize these women’s flat stomachs aren’t achieved by actually drinking a miracle tea.
It is unknown how much FTT pays its influencers, or if the women leverage the relationship, to get other brands and small business owners, to pay them to promote products.
FTT began to hire plus size influencers, who didn’t already possess washboard abs, which did little to squash doubt.
With the women not likely to film themselves actually drinking the tea, and most importantly not achieving a flat stomach, is the charade up?
Is this the end of Flat Tummy Tea?
