Los Angeles County elected officials are abuzz with the news that the former highly paid executive to Inglewood Mayor James Butts has pulled the trigger. They are jokingly referring to him as “James Huizar”.
It was well known, and finally made public, that the two were involved in an intimate relationship that has spanned Mayor Butts entire elected career.
2UrbanGirls previously reported that the two shared a home at 3660 Chapman Lane, inside a gated community in Inglewood, CA, that was owned by Blackstone Capital.
The most interesting revelation of this entire McDade/Butts fiasco is how financially distraught McDade was after becoming one of the highest paid employees in City Hall.
2UrbanGirls reviewed documents which details how she had to obtain a hard money loan from the business partner of Mayor Butts appointee to the housing advisory committee.
2UrbanGirls was able to contact Ms. McDade where we inquired if Mayor Butts was forcing her to share her exorbitant salary with him. She refused to answer.

Staff reports, detailed on the weekly regular and special city council meetings, show a plethora of high paid attorneys being added to assist with lawsuits related to the ongoing battle between the city and Madison Square Garden (MSG).
Michelle Goldsmith, Remy Moose Manley, Harris & Associates, Miller Barondess, have all been retained on the mayor’s and city’s behalf to litigate these various claims.
McDade and Butts relationship became a question during both of their depositions related to MSG’s allegations that he tricked them out of their land lease, where the proposed Clippers arena will be built.
Butts intimidated McDade when they were both present as the other was questioned.
What does McDade know about the serious allegations of financial misconduct within the Inglewood Airport Area Chamber of Commerce? Her image still appears on their website as an executive board member.
Has McDade been the middle person of many nefarious dealings, on the mayor’s behalf, which led to her hiring of a criminal defense attorney as opposed to a labor law specialist?
An investigation into the city’s trash contract revealed an intermediary made it known that Butts’ brother was unemployed and needed a job. Did that news come from McDade?

WHO RUNS INGLEWOOD CITY HALL?
Both McDade and Butts have created a hostile work environment, within City Hall, where she was able to leverage her relationship with her boss, over many of her subordinates. It also appears their relationship was known by City Manager Artie Fields and Human Resources Director Jose Cortes, who created staff reports justifying raises, promotions and bonuses for McDade to save their own jobs.
SKM_364e19122314460A recent article in the Daily Breeze explained how Butts signed off on McDade’s evaluations, which triggered “merit increases” and voted on her bonuses and raises via salary ordinance updates. McDade is countering with Butts having a pattern of bestowing promotions on women he is sleeping with in City Hall.
Should this become an actual lawsuit, as McDade’s lawyer continues to make reference to, those women’s names will surely become public.

As was the case with embattled Los Angeles Councilman Jose Huizar, the city spent upwards of $200,000 on legal fees related to his former chief of staffs harassment claims. However, Francine Godoy’s undisclosed settlement, did not come from taxpayers.
As the city’s general fund continues to show less than desirable surpluses, coupled with annual trash and water rate increases, how many more “increases” will residents have to endure to defray costs of Butts’ legal fees?
McDade is seeking close to $5 million dollars to go away. How will Mayor Butts come up with that kind of cash?
