Inglewood Removes Audio from Today’s Council Meeting

When the heat is on, Inglewood Mayor James Butts runs. Visibly disturbed by comments made by an Inglewood resident, Butts & Co. abruptly halted today’s city council meeting.

During public comment, where residents could discuss any item on today’s council agenda, Joseph Teixeira was the first to step to the podium. He voiced his displeasure of a $5,000 payment to the Inglewood Today newspaper for a single ad promoting a homebuyer rehabilitation program.

Texeira discussed how the paper, owned by Willie Brown, shies away from publishing unflattering articles about Mayor Butts. Most noticeably, an at-fault accident Butts had that nearly killed an LAPD motor officer.

Butts yelled that he was speaking about a non-agenda item and asked the Sergeant at-arms to “touch” Texeira’s shoulder to remove him from the podium. When that didn’t work, Butts & Co. stopped the meeting.

If the name Joe Texeira sounds familiar, he is the resident Mayor Butts unsuccessfully sued over videos he made using city council meetings.

2UrbanGirls watched the live feed that seemed to have audio issues every time a critic of Butts came to the podium, which included rent control advocate, Julia Wallace.

Miraculously, the audio from today’s meeting has vanished. Similar to comments Butts made to another resident who regularly criticizes him.

Today should’ve been a good day considering Steve Ballmer announced he’s investing $100 million in the city so his arena can get approved.

Instead, residents have to grapple with possible legal claims related to the accidental drowning of Zavire Portis, at a city owned pool, that perhaps wasn’t properly secured as revealed by a KTLA reporter.

The pool was blocked by a gate, which officers had to kick open to access the pool, police said. But it appeared possible for a small child to slip through an opening in the gate.

Parks & Recreation Chairman Willie Agee was at today’s meeting and instead of offering condolences to the Portis family, he praised Steve Ballmer and said residents who don’t like the idea of a new arena should move.

City social media manager, and owner of a private film production company, Thomas Bunn, continues to make grave mistakes that erodes the resident’s trust by erasing unflattering commentary about Mayor Butts. Who is directing Bunn to violate the city’s charter, and destroy city records, without the affirmation of a council vote?

When you consider the overwhelming proff that James Butts physically and verbally abused his daughter, choked his ex-wife into unconsciousness in front of their daugher, is a serial adulterer, liar, law-breaker. Civil Rights violator who the court found had trained his officers in Santa Monica to illegally question citizens, and who the court found used his power to waste almost $200000 of taxpayer money With a frivolous lawsuit to hide his misconduct, and who awarded a 10 million dollar contract to a high bid company just because they gave his brother a job, and who, according to his mistress is a perjuror, and who almost killed 3 people when he illegally ran a red light, it’s hard to miss the fact that James T Butts Jr is the most corrupt, vile and dangerous mayor in California.
