Rep. Maxine Waters has announced that the city of Inglewood will receive an additional $4 million dollars towards the city’s Residential Soundproof Installation (RSI) program. It is unclear if RSI Manager Betty Griffith has already burned through the $20 million the city received in 2017.

Despite a lawsuit, initiated under former Inglewood Mayor Merle Mergell, that exempted certain properties from receiving RSI funds, that were built AFTER the settlement, particularly Carlton Square (CS), Griffith somehow managed to give certain CS residents soundproof windows. This was notably done around campaign season.
2UrbanGirls has previously discussed numerous invoices, related to RSI activities going unpaid.

If the city has received $60 million, in the span of four years, why are invoices going unpaid and residents under the flight path complaining about work not being done on their homes?
Empty 2020 campaign rhetoric perhaps?

I live under the flight path for planes landing at lax. I can truly use the sound proofing at my home. My address is 2338 west 108th street Inglewood ca 90303.
