2UrbanGirls received a flurry of text messages late last night from several local school board members. The news was shocking.
Former Lennox School District Superintendent Kent Taylor died yesterday from a self inflicted gun shot wound.
Sheriff’s confirmed he killed himself, with one shot, at 12:35 pm Sunday, while at home.
Taylor came under fire for a virtual learning academy, attached to local Catholic Schools, aimed at increasing district funding through average daily attendance funds.
The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) was also investigating the solvency of Lennox School District as it was revealed the district had burned through nearly all of its cash reserves.
