Delbra Richardson Price has filed a claim against the city of Inglewood for unpaid medical benefits. Citing Ordinance 03-02 which states the city must pay 100% of the medical premiums for retired council members and their spouses which would include Curren Price Jr and his spouse. During the majority of his tenure as an Inglewood city council member, Price was married to a woman who is not responsible for this claim filing.
It was widely reported that now Los Angeles Councilman Curren Price Jr. was never legally divorced to his first wife Lynn Suzette Green-Price and it wasn’t until local news media The Guss Report made it an issue that Price finally decided to file for divorce, again.

Price’s previous attorney of record was current Carson Mayor Albert Robles.
Without a divorce decree from Lynn Green-Price, and subsequent marriage certificate for him and Delbra Richardson, there is no legal standing for the city to provide Ms. Richardson with benefits.
Richardson cites out of pocket expenses of $22,009.08 for premiums paid between 2015-2017.
In March 2017 the LA Times questioned Price about when exactly he married Richardson, due to his divorce filing from Green, in 2011, still showing as “pending” (at the time of LAT publishing) and he refused to provide proof. Only stating they were married out of state.
