In case you missed “Inglewood Morning Session” premiere at the Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) you can now see the movie about the relationship between Inglewood native Paul Pierce and Lt. Scott Collins from the Inglewood Police Department (IPD).
The film is directed by Jay Green and shows the friendship Pierce and Collins developed through sports.
This author grew up around the corner from Pierce in Inglewood’s District 4. My brother and good friend Andre Smith, regularly played basketball in Pierce’s backyard.
Miracle Theatre owner Owen Smith is graciously opening his doors for the community to attend the Inglewood premier on April 6, 2019, at 5pm. Prior to the showing, the city of Inglewood will honor Pierce’s former high school basketball coach, Patrick Roy.
Tickets are $12 online or $15 at the door the day of the event.
